Ann Li is a Fashion designer born in China, brought up in New Zealand. Li graduated in 2013 in Fashion Design and Business from Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand. Through her work, Li is constantly trying to seek balance between clean, hard and soft elements. With a focus on textile design and manipulation, her work is intricate yet minimal. Li's approach to design is highly influenced by her travels and experiences, which are reflected through her work that are constantly evolving. Each collection is a snap shot of who she is right then and there. In 2012, Li attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco as part of an exchange programme offered at Massey University. During this time, Li also completed internships at Alexander Wang and Dennis Basso in New York where she was able to gain and build valuable industry insight and experience. Li was involved with both Alexander Wang and Dennis Basso's fall and spring shows during New York Fashion Week. With experiences in both high street and luxury fashion Li has a strong sense of design intuition that appeals to a variety of consumers.
