We are a contemporary designer brand based in the heart of Mexico City; our designs stem from a search to create a new definition of luxury, a search that includes applying artisanal techniques as well as new technologies, paying particular attention to the details, with the aim of bringing high designer goods at an attractive price point.
We work with independent traditional tailors and artisanal jewelers, with no mass production and a socially responsible set up; that allow us to know everyone involved in our production chain. We like to tell a story with each product, making pieces that start a conversation.
We believe that when a product has its DNA well defined, it resonates from the moment you see it.
This collection is inspired by masculine tailored garments from the early 20th Century. Deconstruction, oversized pieces and the work of artist Dan Stockholm, whose work is inherent to the act of touching, are essential references in the collection. The 3D embroidery in some pieces gives the effect of actually embracing the body. We selected local materials, especially from the Tentic community of Chamula, in the State of Chiapas, where I grew up. The collection makes use of handmade traditional waist-loom woollen textiles, produced by different generations of women from the family of artisan María Hernández, combined with deadstock wool and cotton fabrics.
