Launched in July 2015, I started my label to promote my first ever collection FAHRENHEIT, which was my graduate collection from studying at Kingston University London.
After an intense 3 years of studying at one of the best BA Honours fashion courses in the world, I was to encompass all that I had learnt into one collection which would launch me into the fashion world. As a designer I take a lot of inspiration from colour and nature and the idea that I'm dressing a women who isn't afraid. I design for a global traveler, a women that becomes enriched by culture but stands out by viewing the world from a magnetically glamorous point of view.
I put a strong emphasis on making my clothes desirable, I want people to feel confident in my clothing knowing that they look good, they know that they stand out, but it's for the right reasons.

FAHRENHEIT +

FAHRENHEIT my collection for Resort 2016 was inspired by the descriptions of colour in the book 'The Lost World by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Heavily based on portraying the depths of the rainforest, I wanted to transport the audience to an exotic location through the use of print and layers of colour.
This being my first time developing a print, I wanted to create something that wasn't just digitally printed, I wanted to create a print that had a depth and artistry to it. By using a series of screen printing techniques like foiling, bleaching and pigment dying onto a series of recycled vintage silks, I was able to add another dynamic to the collection and through this process I produced one of a kind garments.

The silhouettes for this collection were really inspired by my muse, a strong, fierce Amazonian women who isn't afraid to stand out for being overly glamorous, she revels in this. The clothes were the idea of what she would take with her whilst cruising the Mediterranean on her yacht over a long summer. This is the Adam Jay Craven women.
