Do you know what your shoes are thinking of you? When do the shoes feel happy to go out? What do your toes talk about inside that shoe? Why does your favorite pair of boots sometimes hate your favorite dance? What if your toes were claustrophobic? In creating ZoFA design shoes we work to find answers to somewhat paradoxical questions – be they rhetoric or real – because they open the doors to the uninhabited world or shoes... Passionate interest in design and an idiosyncratic understanding of shoe aesthetics were some of the reasons why Elina Dobele, a practicing architect, created her shoe brand ZoFA in late 2008. Soon Andrejs Ivanovs, a top class shoemaker, joined her contributing his rich experience in making orthopedic and standard shoes. ZoFA shoes are hand made all through – up to the smallest detailing. The manufacturing process takes place in Riga, Latvia – this allows for instant decision-making and enables us to work within the shortest deadlines. Cooperation with every client is a personalized and sensitive process, it accounts for careful selection of shoe material to satisfy both visual and practical functions.
The craftsmen employed at the small shoe making enterprise love their craft and do their job with utmost reponsibility and higest respect for the wearer.
