Zehr is a fashion label founded in 2009 by London based designer Rebecca Zehr. Zehr’s designs blend sharp tailoring and high quality fabrics with signature prints to create basic pieces with a twist and a collection that feels elegant yet edgy. The colour palette is classic – black, white, navy and grey – with the occasional stronger hint of colour. Taking references from classic tailoring the collection is designed with a keen eye on details and proportion. Every collection is inspired by a variety of sources ranging from military uniform, folk costume to ethnic illustrations. Translated into modern shapes and print designs they influence the overall mood of the collection. The result is a collection that does not appear to make a fuss and yet creates an edgy, understated and sophisticated look. Zehr has stockists in the UK, Greece and Japan.
Mixing sharp tailoring, luxurious fabrics and signature prints Rebecca Zehr creates elegant basic pieces with a twist. Rebecca trained as a dressmaker before studying Fashion Design at the University of Applied Arts, Hamburg. Upon her graduation she moved to London and worked for Hussein Chalayan before launching her own fashion label. Since then Rebecca has also worked for various designers in Hamburg and London, most recently for Vivienne Westwood.
