A nostalgic memory of days gone by, people you ones knew, music you ones listened to. A look at the past, inspired by the ‘Clean living under difficult circumstances´ attitude of the London Mods. The mysterious semi-secret world of these young Londoners in the early 60’s are off great influences in the AW2011 clean cut and streamlined collection. Individually, we are seeking out our own distinctive identity reinforced by nostalgia for what went before. There is a juxtapose of the quest for unique identity and a craving to belong to a particular subculture. Not being able to find any slim fitted mens wear pants that suited the Mods, they had to wear long length knitwear on top to hide the cut. As seen at Won hundred, the look is oversized a-line dresses and knitwear on top of trousers. Tailor made influences and traditional mens wear are key this winter. Also the use of cashmere and mohair are very important. A very masculine touch comes to play with fluid and feminine qualities. Layering in tonal colours are coming alive through the different structures combined with jersey and heavy knits. Sharp lines and minimalistic edges are seen in the classic tailored mens wear. In traditional colours as black, navy blue and grey.
