In the Checz legend the Golem of Prague was created from blood and clay by Rabbi Loew to protect Prague’s 16th-century ghetto.
The Golem had super power, the extent of which varied with the strengths of his connection to those he felt love for. The Golem started wondering the streets in times of crises. Fearing its power, the rabbi destroyed the Golem.
He is the ultimate monster, living in the shapes of Frankenstein and Terminator.
We created our own Golems- we played with the sturctures of clay, mud and water when making the prints. In the shapes we visualised the monster and the shapeless mass flowing in today’s big cities. The brutalist appearence in contrast with purity. Our aim is to create durable unisex streetwear for everyday use with the function of comfort and protection.
