The subtle elegance of Wackerhaus. Wackerhaus has since her debut on the Danish fashion scene in 2003 become a favourite among a new generation of young designers. The understated, feminine look Wackerhaus has developed aims to deliver a clean and cohesive silhouette, which expresses a certain masculinity and whilst maintaining the more fragile and feminine side of contemporary womenswear. Wackerhaus designs her collections with a high level of elegance and just the right dash of nonchelance. The dark and subtle colour palette interacts with a conceptual perspective on modest and flawless elgance, but nevertheless remains a lovely playful canvas for colourful opulence.

Trine is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. She studied at Beckmans School of Design. Her collections are produced in Denmark.

Wackerhaus was founded in 2003 by the young designer Trine Wackerhausen, and the brand has since its debut on to the Danish fashion scene become a favourite with the style press and fashion conscious follower.
“To me fashion is art but it is also important that my designs are wearable and practical... of course with a strong dash of refined and feminine elegance”, says Wackerhausen about her designs.
The Wackerhaus look combines a sharp tailored silhouette with lightweight materials and carefully placed ruffles and this fascination of contrasts is an on-going theme in every Wackerhaus collection. Each season this is shown with great creativity and quirky details.
Despite complementary materials and a versatile approach to silhouette, Wackerhaus succeeds in delivering a clean cut and cohesive look, which on one hand expresses certain masculinity and on the other a fragile and feminine side of contemporary women's fashion.
When asked to describe her signature style, Wackerhaus explains that her designs are not meant to be seasonal, but classic statements to be used across seasons. Her use of a dark and subtle colour palette fits perfectly with the idea of a timeless, modest and flawless style, and is at the same time a lovely canvas for colourful excesses.
“My work is a delicate balance of playful extravaganza, soft femininity and strict simplicity. I strive towards making clothes that are both luxurious and comfortable”, says Wackerhausen.
The result pleasing both the precise and classic minimalist as well as those into a more gentle feminine allure.
