SKINS: The collection is a play on skin as metaphor - surface, protection, layer - and skin on a tangible level: leather and fabrics which are scarred, pierced, welted and cut. Embossed leather, transparent nets and textured linens contrast free-flowing silks and jerseys. The collection works with adaptable components, alternating fabrics and patinated leathers in warm natural tones, creating a fluid yet strong nomadic look.
About the Designer
Prisca & Pia is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. She studied at Copenhagen Fashion & Design School.
Since 2007 the designer duo, Vilsbøl de Arce has created avant-garde fashion with strong ties to art and performance.
The duo often creates in collaboration with other artists, their talent shooting off in a myriad of creative expressions: modern dance, industrial design, jewellery, art installations, headpieces and uniforms.
Artistic projects serve as the inspiration and framework for the Vilsbøl de Arce collections, and the resulting pieces are intricate fashion constructions with unconventional silhouettes and sculptural characteristics.
