TINAELISABETHREITER
THE SOUND OF HOMELESS(NESS) AW 12/13
Introduction_
Inspired by the feeling of homelessness, its contemporary meaning of belonging-to and the seeking of your roots in our unpredictable globalised world.
The collection has taken the heritage of the Austrian folk costume including its tradition and fused it with aesthetics of modern menswear. Extracting traditional techniques and silhouettes fitting it into a contemporary context is her unique way of staying true to your own roots.
Nourished by the wish of an ideal world which is forever connected with the myth of the alps, the kitschy homeland movies of the Austrian postwar years and the world famous musical ‘The Sound of Music’.
