My collection is based on this French word, puissance, which means power, strength of an army, muscle, brightness of light, force of wind, social, economic, and electrical power. From this word, a thought came to my mind, does it not describe how today’s urban woman needs to be? How she needs to be strong and not be treated as the weaker or the less favorable sex for the top positions in the corporate world? But to portray that strength does she have to result to behaving and dressing mannishly and having to stride around in power suits with padded shoulders and subconsciously accepts that she is operating in an utterly male dominated world and playing by their rules? Can she command respect by being feminine? The answer is definitely possible through mastering the art of power dressing with this collection, which is my gift to the women who has triumphed against the odds and is confident in her own skin. She is powerful, yet feminine, she oozes beauty and confidence effortlessly.
