As a keen supporter of conservation Zanditon is particularly interested in the impact of mining on primate species – mainly the critically endangered Mountain Gorillas of the Central African regions of Rwanda & the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). It is particularly poignant to Zanditon’s perspective that we share 95-99% of the same DNA with this species. They are under threat from the consequences of human conflict & poaching, leading to increased habitat loss. Vandana Shiva recently said: “We've forgotten how to live with abundance because of the obsession with manufactured scarcity”.
