In the aboriginal language 'kompo' means young and 'karna' means man. This unique loafer features embroidery reminiscent of aboriginal artwork yet the detail forms a brogue pattern. Made from milling sheep skin, the leather wears beautifully over time and will last for many years due to the hand stitched construction of the full leather sole. Available in: Navy or Brown. Tying back in with our 'artist in waiting' theme, Kompo Karna is our nod to aboriginal dot painting. Being Australian I am proud of our indigenous Australians and their unique culture and many artistry techniques. Traditionally the brogue pattern is made using perforation. We updated it using embroidery and exaggerating the size which is more reminiscent of the nature-provided tools that traditional aboriginal art was made with.
