This boxy sweatshirt tunic is part of the Minna Palmqvist base collection. The statement is in the heavily padded chest embroidery, getting its shape from the bra paddings used to enlarge the bust. Totally mis-used and mis-placed, they still enlarge your bust, but in a more upfront way than it's supposed to. The style has open side seams and is available in one size only. This ready-to-wear piece in grey melange sweat jersey is part of Minna Palmqvist's design project, Intimately Social, which is a form-based discussion about the differences and clashes between the socially accepted female body, and the initmate, physical body we actually have and always try to change. Inspired by an art installation of a melting and collapsing butter torso, made by the designer in 2010, this item is a manifestation of the ever changing body, of a body losing control and taking over. This is one of the more subtle pieces of the collection, and can be styled in various ways.
