The collection's title is 'Decadent Art, Rotten Beauty' and was originally taken from a newspaper heading. The phrase immediately inspired and through applying my own interpretation to the words, I was able to form my visual concept. The notion of finding beauty in what is perceived to be 'rotten' was a feeling I wanted to get across with my designs. Beauty can be found in the unlikeliest of places and behind a seemingly rotten surface can lurk a masterpiece, just waiting to be discovered. I made the entire collection out of Tyvek which is a type of paper. In doing this I was able to create concealed layers in my garments which where torn away to reveal hidden prints.
