Radha Dumra's A/W 12 is inspired by the archetype of Judas and his act of betrayal ; embracing the notion that all of us have a hidden shadow side or in this case a Judas in us, an impulsive, dark, wounded or isolated part that we would rather not acknowledge or exhibit.But it is only by mining the dark recesses of our psyche we can recognize the deeper truth that the lover and the liar, the saint and the sinner lives in every one of us. It can become a source of emotional richness and vitality if you have the courage to face it , and acknowledging it can be a pathway to healing and living an authentic life. When we shine the light of consciousness into our dark corners we become more whole. We open the door to the other, the strange, the weak, the sinful, the despised - and simply through including it, we transmute it. In so doing, we move ourselves closer to being whole, strong and truly powerful. The collection is all black and white signifying when the light side merges with the dark side, together they create a balance that each one of us needs.
