Paris Fashion Week - Ready To Wear
Various locations in Paris.
Paris Fashion Week is one of the most prominent fashion weeks around the whole world, along with London, New York, and Milan. As such, it is a week-long event that allows fashion designers, brands or "houses" to exhibit their latest collections in runway shows, providing the opportunity for buyers to take a look at the latest trends. Of course, the primary function of Paris Fashion Week is so that the fashion industry will know what's "in" and what's "out" for the season. As with many fashion weeks, the shows are divided into three categories; Men's Fashion, Haute Couture, and Ready to Wear.
As well as the runway events and trade shows, Paris Fashion Week is also an opportunity for several other related exhibitions, grand openings, promotional events and lavish celebrity-studded parties. Paris, being one of the cultural metropolises of the fashion world, has plenty of experience with hosting such events, since the Paris Fashion Week's inception in 1973.
