NOT JUST A LABEL and Pitti Immagine join forces to let 8 emerging fashion designers break into the Italian market, during Milan Fashion Week from 24 to 26 September. NOT JUST A LABEL (NJAL) is the world’s leading online platform for showcasing and supporting pioneers in contemporary fashion. Since its inception, NJAL has been at the forefront of leading emerging designers to successful careers in fashion.
In partnership with Pitti Immagine, NJAL is giving eight of its most promising designers the opportunity to showcase their Spring-Summer 2012 collections for the very first time and in-kind during Milan Fashion Week. These designers, who have been selected by a panel at Vogue Italia and Pitti Immagine, exemplify NJAL's commitment to pushing the boundaries of digital fashion.
NJAL’s company philosophy expresses the importance of giving emerging designers free exposure. In line with this, it was essential that designers would not incur exhibition and booth fees for their participation. With the Italian market increasingly becoming more important for up and coming talent, this partnership enables eight of NJAL’s most wanted ‘Black Sheep’ to break new ground.
Since 2005, the renowned Pitti Immagine salons in Milan, Touch! neoZone and cloudnine, have presented a cutting-edge selection of womenswear and accessories collections, attracting over 7,000 international buyers from the world’s most prestigious boutiques and retail platforms every season.
This September, the salons will be enhanced by a new space of over 1,500 sq ft exclusively dedicated to the selected NJAL designers at Milan’s brand new Tunnel design space, Nhow, in trendy Zona Tortona.
Thanks to the partnership between Pitti Immagine and NJAL, the upcoming edition will continue to fly the flag for innovation and pioneering spirit in contemporary womenswear and accessories design.
