NAOKOOGAWA

Naoko is based in Berlin, Germany. She studied at Tokyo National University of Fine arts and Music. Her collections are produced in Germany.

I restart thinking about the meaning of wearing jewelry and create work based on the idea of deepening mutual relationships among people, clothes, and jewelry.
For my creations, I follow and strongly respect the following ideas:
- Personal physical movement: sitting, standing, working, running, fingers through loose hair, etc...
- Social physical movement: making up, holding hands with your love, kissing, etc...
- Environmental changes people can sense by moving places or in the course of time: wind, light(the sun's rays or electric light), temperature, humidity, etc...
- Emotional changes: pleasure, love, fear, anger, sadness, etc...
By doing so, I create jewelry works with the concept of "a jewelry that cannot become complete unless people put it on". In other words, only those who wear it are able to creat a look or complete beauty.
