MORAVIA

This Final Collection called 'MORAVIA' was shown at the Graduate Fashion Week 2009 and was shortlisted for the Zandra Rhodes Textile Award. The 'MORAVIA' Collection was inspired by traditional Moravian costume from South-East Czech Republic, Hussein Chalayan's iconic designs, the abstract shapes of artist Wassily Kandinsky and images of famous Czech Photographer Jan Saudek. The main concept for the collection consist of exaggerated shapes such as big shoulders and ball shapes incorporating a bespoke digital print.

Petra Taoujni is open-minded, hard working, ambitious fashion design graduate from the University for the Creative Arts in Epsom. She is seeking an employment or work experience in a dynamic design environment. She loves creating new, fresh designs and textile prints by using different materials and media. She gets inspired by unusual, but also traditional things, objects or places. She enjoys music, theatre, art galleries, but also travelling, exploring new cultures and places. She is fluent in English, Czech and intermediate in Spanish. Her strengths are in garment making, pattern cutting, and working in a team.
