Two of my favorite accessories are gloves and rings. The only problem is that you can't wear both simultaneously. I designed the "revolver" glove with this conundrum in mind. It's named for the iconic gun shape the asymmetric line of the glove on the back of the hand form with the thumb and index finger. They look just as great peeking out the sleeve of a jacket as they do with a t-shirt or a little party dress.
About the Designer
Mila is based in Los Angeles, United States. She studied at RISD. Her collections are produced in United States.
With a family tree full of artists and designers, Mila was destined to be in a creative profession. After graduating from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Apparel Design, Mila headed to New York to pursue her career in Fashion. After working for almost 8 years in various positions at Calvin Klein, a fashion trend forecasting publication, and as a visual merchandiser for upscale 5th avenue stores, Mila began dabbling in costuming films, which was intriguing enough to relocate her to Los Angeles to further that career path. Having had many exciting and challenging projects in Hollywood, Mila acquired another aspect of experience, from a styling and costuming perspective.
Recently Mila was selected from thousands of applicants to compete in Project Runway, Season 7. She made it all the way to earning a spot as one of the final 3, and showed a 10-look Fall 2010 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York In February. Her collection has been extremely well received by critics and potential consumers alike.
Having come full circle, Mila has returned to her roots in fashion with her eponymous collection. Mila’s philosophy is to create clothes which are unique yet timeless. She hopes that every piece will live on from season to season and be styled uniquely by its owner. At the crux of Mila’s design is a heavily graphic sensibility - subtly edgy, approachably modern, and always sophisticated.
