MESHIT

Rock ‘n’ Roll & Mod Mania: British youth culture of the 60’s and 70’s have inspired meshit to a collection, which revisits pre-swinging London whilst channelling the young, reckless and most stylish Britons of the times. By mixing the distinctive looks of the notorious movements of the Mods and Rockers, meshit have come up with a diverse line of casual items which transcends generations and class membership, let alone pop-history. Rocker-style vests or parkers with removable imitation sheepskin lining set the tone and are worn over knitted turtle-neck jumpers and cardigans with meticulous detailing in fringe or knitted patterns. Turtle-neck collars, as well as the polo shirt resurface in a variety of tops and dresses, giving the collection a conceptual continuity and aesthetic theme. Classic 7/8 length trousers come either in thick-wool fabric or leather. Carefully tailored cuts in the knees, painted spots along the leg or ironed pleats provide a distinctive working class and urban-warrior-like touch that reappears in the accessories, such as braces and a backpack with fringes all over.
