I first came to London to study a Foundation Year in Art and Design at London College of Fashion and after finishing my Foundation Studies I got to learn so many new ways to communicate my visions and ideas with, so I decided to continue my studies at LCF by attending the BA Womenswear course which I successfully graduated from in 2008.
The collection was created to aim a playful view of the human body and the gender issue rather than taking fashion too seriously. Playing around with shapes, discovering the opposites and the different silhouettes gave space to experiment with the body consciousness that we constantly surround ourselves with. The battle of the sizes remains no matter sex or gender so I was just trying to bring out the fun and naivety into fashion and as I often do, looking into menswear inspired me to use classical and high quality materials such as wool, cotton and leather.
Regardless of all the fun, hard work and everything I learnt when creating my collection the pieces included are there because of their high quality, personality and crafted finish, which will always be my aim to continue with in my future work and projects as it’s my way of communicating with my surroundings.
