Puzzlement is about contrasts. Color contrasts, the contrast between nature and manmade things, and the constrast between natures power and the feeling of being home and save. Its also about a childish feeling, a longing for the childs innocence and untroubled mind. The jigsaw puzzle is used as a basis for creating shape, cut and graphic expression for the collection and together with a childish silhuette the collection express a naive, playfull but also wishful feeling.
About the Designer
Maria is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. She studied at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and graduated in 2012. Her collections are produced in Denmark.
It all started when I was around ten years of age, where I discovered that I could draw clothing and shoes so they looked just the way I wanted. I had a real interest in architecture and spaces and thought that that was what I should do. I ended up creating form and shapes in clothing instead, and that has been my real passion since. I graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in January 2012.
