MALGORZATA_DUDEK

An homage to the Swiss surrealist, H.R. Giger. Always being fascinated by the artwork of H.R. Giger and the massive impact of his Biomechanical vision on the world of architecture, film, music, tattoo art, fashion and industrial design, Malgorzata Dudek, with H.R. Giger's prior approval, transferred his cultural influence onto fabric. The collection includes a series of one-off couture pieces with adapted HR Giger prints. Some of the standout pieces are an elegant skin-tight gown with a Giger “Li” print and a hautingly beautiful black, skin-tight gown with 3-D Giger baby heads from “Landscape XVIII” adorning the back and train. Throughout the collection, there are also laser-cut leather elements which were inspired by H.R. Giger’s airbrushing. The collection was accessorized with metal sunglasses by designer Slav Nowosad which are inspired by Giger’s “Birth Machine”. About the Designer

Malgorzata is based in Poland. Her collections are produced in Poland.

Malgorzata Dudek is a fashion designer born in Poland. Her upbringing in the forested countryside taught her an appreciation for nature and harmony, while life behind the "Iron Curtain" gave her a longing for all things colourful and outside the norm.
Her earliest fashion influences were colourful clothes which her family received in packages from West Germany and local designer Edyta Dabrowska, whose avant garde costumes and happenings shocked the locals. It was Edyta who inspired seven year old Malgorzata to have her first fashion show, whose attendees were her classmates. She stylised a crowd of Marzanna effigies (in altered West German clothes), burned and drowned them in the stream behind her house.
