Maimoona is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She studied at Esmod University and graduated in 2012.

Growing up in Pakistan during the 90’s, I was witness to the growth of the fashion scene. The burgeoning creativity of the designers during the early half of the decade in Pakistan was truly inspirational, fashion became a more exciting place to be. After high school, I went to a university in Boston to study Economics. This experience opened my eyes to a greater world of fashion. Upon my return I worked in the world of finance and manufacturing. However, it didn’t seem to fit. After getting married to a great guy in 2008 and moving to Dubai, I finally decided to resign to the world that I always knew I truly loved, Fashion. I decided to peruse a degree in Fashion Design and Pattern Drafting at French fashion University, Esmod. Fashion has been a life long weakness but I guess it took me sometime to realize that within my greatest weakness also lies my greatest strength.
During my time at Esmod Dubai, we were presented with lots of great opportunities to showcase our talent. One of my most significant achievements was winning the ‘Mercedes Benz Middle East Fashion Design Contest’ as a result of which I was flown down to Berlin to attend Fashion week, a truly memorable experience. Also, participated in the Harper’s Bazaar ‘Illustrator of year contest’ where I came in second place and my illustration was published. In addition to that I was selected to showcase some of my pieces that I made during my time at Esmod in Dubai and other major cities such as Paris and Osaka.
Having recently graduated from Fashion School, I am looking to launch my own Luxury RTW label here in the Middle East.
