Imagery of the worlds poorest cultures in tatters and in some cases on the point of collapse have inspired the soft silhouette, whimsical patterns and delicate fabrics which create this collection. The deconstructed clothing worn by field workers and the voluminous sacks, which trail behind the cotton pickers as they collect their crop, have inspired the garments. The colors have has been produced through a combination of hand dyed blues, soft grey, and pale peach to result in a unique, dirty pastel pallet. One of my aims when producing this collection was to use only ethical and organic fabrics and to remove the stigma of hippie culture and consumer rebellion associated with these products. This is a high-end capsule collection that marries eco-sustainability with innovative, sophisticated, chic design.
