Inspired by the female empowerment of superheroines, AW12/13 sees powerful armour-like silhouettes. Signature tailored cuts and intrinsic abstract prints are combined with all new textured fabrics and a cool colour palette, invigorated with shades of soft yellow and orange. Classic pencil and A-lined skirts, dresses with piping detail and high round necks have been reworked to exude a contemporary, avant-garde, active luxe feel. The dynamic shapes coupled with subtle structure accentuate the female form and impound the sense of bold, daring, assured femininity associated with the Liz Black woman. The collection slips as easily from the office to the cocktail party as it does from the office to the squash court.
