The concept for the 'albino' collection from Lislie Yeung was based on translating the emotional responses evoked from albinos and their striking aesthetic qualities into the mood and aesthetics of the collection through previously developed techniques and usage of materials and textures. Using techniques built from previous projects: sanding pyramid shaped EVA strips between lining and upper to create subtle details and highlights, the collection is a work in progress of ideas built throughout the year combined with my personal aesthetics. Always trying to balancing creativity and commercial viability, this collection features custom hand made details (hand dyed lace, electroplated silver onto molded lace and placement prints) on classic silhouettes. The aim was to design a creative yet affordable luxury range without compromising the designs and details that make it unique and stand out.
