This was my final collection at university. My collection was shown at the London graduate fashion show. This collection is based on the idea of mental illness, mainly schizophrenia and split personalities. This collection is mainly about the colours and the fabrics that i have chosen. The colours are contrasting and conflicting, this resembles the idea of split personality being contrasting and the opposite. The print that i have used within my work is really busy and resembles a brain scan of someone who suffers from a mental illness. The collection shows two opposites, restriction and movement, i have used leathers which are restricting because they are tight fitting garments and i have used silks which are flowing and stretch fabrics which are tight but also will enable the wearer to move with less restriction.
