Shadows, mysteries, philosophy, calligraphy in particular the film of British director Peter Greenaway – ‘The Pillow Book’ are the inspirations behind Kzeniya’s Autumn / Winter 2012 collection. Kzeniya’s limited edition capsule collection featuring a selection of leather computer cases with book prints, clutches, small evening bags, shoulder bags and wallets in suede, calfskin, metallic nappa and fur in combination with avant garde details such as chains, studs and striking steel and brass customised structured metal parts. Importance is given to rich texture, reassuring, warm colours, simple, but experimental forms and surprising details. The combinations of materials and details selected with intention to create an accessory as a slightly futuristic sculptural object. Works of Anish Kapoor, Constantin Brancusi and also architectural forms of Zaha Hadid have been inspirations. Materials featured in the collection have very contemporary look and high quality finish. Colours are black, brown, silver, gold and deep red.

About the Designer

Kzeniya is based in London, United Kingdom. She studied at Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design. Her collections are produced in United Kingdom.

Founded end of 2010 by Kzeniya Oudenot a graduate of London’s St Martin's College of Art and Design.
Before setting up the label Kzeniya organized events, designed set and costumes for operas and ballets and created costumes with unique cutting edge technologies.
A winner of various awards, Kzeniya worked for Alexander McQueen, Royal Opera House, Scottish Ballet, showcased her work at the Science Museum London, Science Gallery Dublin and galleries in London and Paris.
While experimenting with printing techniques on leather, Kzeniya fell in love with the art of leather accessories and decided to focus on this area, by creating statement leather pieces.
Designed in London, made in UK, Spain and Italy using Italian materials. Kzeniya designs appeared in Elle, Vogue, Instyle, Grazia, Cosmopolitan and were carried by Jennifer Lopez, Fergie, Elizabeth Banks, Anne Heche, Levin Rambin, Kat Graham, Ginnifer Goodwin, Brandy.
