KIMHAGELIND
Inspired by Ben F. Laposky’s electronic abstractions and
oscillons from the middle of the twentieth century Kim Hagelind has created
a sculptural styling with clear elements of a 3-dimensions deep.
The collection consists of garments sewn in plastic and comes in a black
monochrome range in order to highlight cut forms. Kim Hagelind says;
ʺI wanted to create an eccentric styling where it meets the concentric
and where the garment is caught in a movement, where the hard face the soft.
Where everything is confirmed in its contrast.
Ridley Scotts ʺAlienʺ inspired both materials and colour and
the black plaited plastic forms a psychedelic pattern.
Due to the location of the press studs, the cut form and structure
may be varied in the endless.ʺ
Kim Hagelind’s collections consists of unique garments which
are on the borderline between progressive fashion
and abstract art. Garments sold only to order and are
created in his studio in Stockholm.
