About the Designer
Kerrie is based in London, United Kingdom. She studied at London College of Fashion. Her collections are produced in United Kingdom.
British footwear designer Kerrie Luft create distinctively feminine yet unique shows embracing new technologies and utilising them in a conceptual way. Her latest collection 'Nouveau' defines the characteristics of Art Nouveau by Rapid Prototyping Titanium. Inspired by nature and the organic forms that it creates led to the creation of innovative shapes within both the uppers of the shoes and the heels. She loves the process of design and making, from taking the initial concept and translating it into collections that are unique and special.
She began her design career in Northampton, a small town in England famous for it's vast shoe heritage and once thriving footwear industry. Whilst studying at the University College Northampton she spent many days searching through the archives of shoes at the Northampton Shoe Museum. It was there she developed her passion for shoes and designing which led her to choose the pathway of Footwear Design. Whilst studying for a BA (hons) in Footwear Design at Northampton, she supplemented her learning with Internship at Lulu Guinness and Patrick Cox.
After graduating from Northampton, Kerrie moved to London to begin a MA in Fashion Footwear at the legendary Cordwainers, part of the London College of Fashion. It was here she developed her skills in making and designing and began to create an identity as a contemporary footwear designer. Her MA collection was showcased at the Mall Galleries in London.
