KARLA SABINA
“A JOURNEY OF THOUSAND MILES THAT BEGUN WITH SINGLE STEPS”
The recipe for success in navigating today's art and design market is to find that essential balance between love worth finding, style and taste.
As an artist and designer Karla Sabina is inspired in the everyday. For that, she loves to live life, squeezing it, enjoying it. She enjoys the freedom of being herself.
Two facts set artist and designer Karla Sabina apart from the pack: her values and her particular point of view.
Karla Sabina is absolutely committed to preserve family unity and family values. This is how she began to pursue her art going against the grain and challenging the world this way: in a Family Friendly Environment.
Her original career choice was Information Technology Engineer but when the children arrived, a new outlook on life blossomed and changed her old paradigms - she understood that if you mess raising your children, nothing else you do for the world matters a lot -. So she decided to leave the labor market and devote her energy and passion to this new stage in her life.
As children grow older, her sensitivity has grown along with them, and she realized that an undying taste for arts and design blossomed at the same time she was nursing and raising her kids.
Karla Sabina describes herself as "having a life of its own". This is why she gets involved in small short term projects or on large long term projects only if these projects allow family unity prevails. She has found that Slow Fashion is a way she wants to explore.
“JEWELRY, HANDBAGS, FINE ART AND COUTURE GO BEYOND THAN ART AND FASHION”
Karla Sabina's collections are the perfect combination of function and elegance, are witty, tenacious and defiant with an air of old fashioned peace.
Her flamboyant purses are statement pieces that adorn any gown worthy all on their own. Her intricate jewelry mixes couture, costume and heirloom jewelry to create a compilation of wholly unique pieces that are her signature, a mix of vintage and modern materials that complement one another. Each piece of jewelry, fine art, handbag or couture may be invaluable due to sentiment and has been created in a family friendly environment.
This self-taught artist and designer has the belief of creating art for the purpose of being usable and what a better display or canvas than human body, just the kind of nexus that an art collector has with the purchase of a work of fine art, creations are to be worn merely as an outward expression of inner self.
She bridges several attributes into the identity of her collections: ideals upheld by her personal values, an inspired design that crosses the threshold of art only for the eyes to the point of using itinerant and transcendent art; her one of a kind couture pieces are created to be treasured and last over time without being influenced by fads or trends of couture, fashion and art industry.
Karla Sabina assuredly believes what Bible says in Colossians 3:17,23: And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him… And whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, from the soul, as something done for the Lord and not merely for people.
With balance and care she is able to discover and emphasize the importance of things that nobody sees.
Karla Sabina is an artisan who enjoys a variety of mediums as object art, graphic design, fashion design, mixed media, fibers, textiles, embellishments, photography and poetry.
This defiant mom, wife and self-taught artist and designer is a living testimony to those who have dreams and many opponents against, for those mothers who changed their life to have children and need a means of expression.
