Kallol is based in India. He studied at Central Saint Martins and graduated in 2006. His collections are produced in India.

After growing up in the middle east, Kallol developed an aversion to bling and shine.
He has a BA in Fashion Design from NIFT, India and followed it up with a Womenswear Degree from Central St. Martins.
The label Kallol Datta 1955 has the year '1955' affixed to it as an ode to the designer's mother.
Now a regular at New Delhi and Mumbai Fashion week, the label has a strong retail presence in the subcontinent and has been featured in style.com, Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Verve, Autore, Marie Claire, WGSN, The Telegraph amongst others.
