JIVIKABIERVLIET

This collection is inspired by the Flintstone era wherein life was very simple without the influence of technology and information overflow. J. Flintstone stands for a mentality that refers to the need for this simple lifestyle. It is a reaction to the increasing complexity of the information society. We have created a world that is beyond our control and understanding. Because I think that too much knowledge can be dangerous, I want to encourage people with my collection to be more selective in the information they take in. It is human to not know everything. Sometimes it’s good to keep things as they are, like you see and experience it. With this collection you can hide, walk, drive and fly away: a form of escapism wherein there is space to come in touch with yourself again.
