Gypsy Gangsters - A luxury menswear collection inspired by the Eastern European Gypsy Mafia and its flamboyance. With Scabal wools and 100% silk fabrics, the garments aim at recreating the exotic and elaborate style of rich Romani people.
From a slight sarcastic point of view, throughout the development of this collection I aimed at pointing out some strong stereotypes I grew up with and taking them to a luxurious and sophisticated level.
About the Designer
Irina is based in Epsom, United Kingdom. She studied at University for the Creative Arts and graduated in 2012. Her collections are produced in Romania.
I am a Romanian-born, London based Menswear Designer at the beginning of what I would like to think of as a long and significant career.
My story begins with growing up in my parents' clothing factory in Romania, playing with garments, patterns, needles and threads ever since I can remember any traces of rationality going through my mind. All my life I have been working towards evolving on both professional and personal levels.
