In this collection Individuals reacts with passion and force to today’s society with a raw street wear collection, full of references to the city and to a nomadic lifestyle. "DUALS" refers to the duel between oneself and the outside world, and to the duality between faith and insecurity. Progress and transience are two red threads running through the collection, seeking the answer to the question: "What time could this be? INDIVIDUALS's picture

Individuals is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He studied at AMFI and graduated in 2012. His collections are produced in Netherlands.

Individuals is a reality school that aims to unite fashion education with the reality of designing, managing and branding a fashion brand.
Individuals is a changing collective of creative minds. By combining talent we inspire and tell a story. Each generation adds its own unique chapter to the continuing fashion story, that is Individuals. Individuals sees creative potential in the unexpected. In an increasingly individualistic world we bring people from different creative fields together. In order to create a fashion brand that intrigues and that sets out to discover new fashion realms. Individuals is an initiative of Amsterdam Fashion Institute and Hogeschool van Amsterdam.
The new collection ROOTS consists of 13th Individuals and is the follow-up to the winter collection DUALS . After the rebellion and social reform comes a moment of contemplation and the cathartic realisation that we must move on. We collect leftovers of the past and rely on our primal strengths again: ROOTS sets a first confident step into a new world.
DUALS focused on the rebellion, which resulted in a powerful and raw streetwear collection. ROOTS is about the aftermath. Street has become earth. The dark pillars of our civilization have been brought down by a marching movement of brave warriors. A sense of catharsis enables us to rely on our primal strengths once again. Scarred but empowered, we proudly stride through raw gravel. It is now time for us to reconstruct the deconstructed into a new world. Digging for debris in the sandy soil of what once was structured asphalt, we build from broken pieces of a bygone era. Fusing whatever we can find into remodelled materials, we create the necessities that ensure our survival. Darkness brings forth light.
