About the Designer

Ida is based in Barcelona/Stockholm, Sweden. She studied at IED - Istituto Europeo di Design and graduated in 2008. Her collections are produced in Spain.

The signature style of Ida Johansson is asymmetrical drapes and innovative ideas with desire to fly. Balancing between technical and traditional materials, such as hand knitted garments and painted silk in contrast of metallic and industrial items. The spirit is graceful, elegant and flirty at the same time. With products that communicates with its bearer, by a continuous play and exploring interaction as the reversible shapes teases its wearers creativity.
Ida Johansson is a Swedish fashion designer, based in Stockholm and Barcelona. After studying one year of arts in Stockholm, she went on to do a bachelor's degree in fashion and textile design at IED, Barcelona, where she received a price for her final project. Before graduating Johansson received the Moda Fad award, for the best collection, in collaboration with Argentinean Lucrecia Lovera. The label Ida Johansson debuted with a fashion show at Ego de Cibeles, Madrid Fashion Week, in February 2009. After that the brand has contributed in several fashion events around Spain and is now selected to participate in the Swedish Fashion Council project "Rookies" during the year of 2012.
