HUYKE

Ruscherly is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She studied at School of Fine Arts of Puerto Rico and graduated in 2011. Her collections are produced in Puerto Rico.

Ruscherly M. Huyke is a 25 year old Puerto Rican designer. Since a very early age she developed interest in the fashion world and the fast paced energy of the city of San Juan only made this interest grow more.
She got her BFA in Fashion and Sculpture in La Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico (The School of Fine Arts of Puerto Rico) and since the beginning she became a standout student, becoming president of the fashion department and helping her classmates in any way she could. Her minor in sculpture made her clothes in a three dimensional way and helped her design obtain a more artistic turn.
Ruscherly, established her label Huyke in 2008 and had the opportunity to show her graduate collection, based on the French Revolution, in Puerto Rico High Fashion Week and the collection was highly acclaimed. She did internships with Magacín Lifestyle and designer Gustavo Arango.
Her designs represent the beauty of the past as she frequents history books and museums for inspiration and every collection tells the story of a certain moment in time.
