Hollie Young a Masters of Design graduate from The University of Brighton, specialises in womens' separates, accessories and digital print design. Hollie Young's graduate collection, 'WAIF&STRAY' explores a rich, rural family heritage situated in Somerset and Ystragynlais. An exploration into primitive Britain, and the trades and occupations associated with rural living has allowed Hollie Young to take a personal and fresh take on the British heritage trend. Hollie Young's first collection is delicate in appearance, whilst expressing a slight hardiness that can be associated with rural living. The simplicity of the collection allows for printed silk dresses displaying minature 'tool' and 'corn' motifs, oversized 'smock' jackets and long, wrapped leather belts that resemble traditional bridalry.
