HIRASHAH

Hira Shah is a London based Fashion Designer. She participated in the Muuse's Most Promising Designer competition by Vogue Talents and Vogue Italia in 2011 and 2012. Hira is originally from Pakistan. Coming from a country with a rich cultural heritage of textiles and embroidery, she grew up being surrounded by vibrant colours and bold prints. As a fashion designer, she is constantly exploring new media to inspire and inform her design philosophy. Her aim is to create a brand that is based on a conceptual approach to design. This is expressed through an experimental idiom and a selection of materials that challenge conventional clothing norms. In her work as a fashion designer, the fusion of Eastern influences with Western silhouettes is is further explored, through unconventional and edgy materials. She has collaborated with many photographers and creative artists on editorial shoots, and continues to do so. Her work has been published in magazines including Vogue Italia, Asiana Magazine, Khush Magazine, Asian bride Magazine, Syn, Slave and Defuse Magazine to name a few..
