Shattered dreams: feeling trapped, alone and silent. No one can save you, you feel as if the world, you once knew is falling away. You are going deeper and deeper into a black hole. Last Easter my arm got broken and my Shattered Dreams or somewhat nightmares took hold. I felt as if I couldn’t breathe, I felt as if no one could hear my pain. In a way the entrapment and shattered bones I had, were somewhat beautiful. The x-rays were fascinating to me. That something so important, so perfect, had been turned into these mesmerising fragmentations of what once was. The moment itself was so minute, so sudden and yet it created such a catastrophic and powerful impact. How could one split second be both the possibility of the end and beginning for me? My Shattered Dreams change my life forever. It gave me my collection as you see today, yet it stole from me the freedom I once knew. When I look at the aftermath, the scars engraved into my flesh, all I see is what could have been and what is yet to come. When you look at Shattered Dreams I hope you see the good, the bad and the ugly. Opening your eyes into a fragment of my story: the depth of the darkness I once was confined by…. My Shattered Dreams.
