Georgina Vendrell was born in Barcelona in 1983. Her intership at Josep Font Haute Couture and her degree at the Institut Català de la Moda were crucial to create her own designer label “Georgina Vendrell menswear”. Success and good rewiews have came along with Georgina ever since her debut at the Modafad in 2007, where she won the best collection award. That fact allowed her to be present at the following edition. The young designer has had the privilege to participate at Ego de Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week, 080 Barcelona Fashion, Iceland Fashion Week and Semana de la Moda de Valencia (Valencia Fashion Week) where she also won the best designer prize.
At her five collections she has shown Geogina Vendrell’s wonders about conventional shapes and patterns, developing them as much as she has been able to. Thanks to this philosophy she gets original results and style that remind us a classic tailor's trade. Sythetics are so important in all the creative process, to the point so that they have become the exclusive and first source of inspiration. This is what happened in her last fashion bet “La Materia” (The Matter F/W 10/11). The fact that she considers herself a great society observer makes her feel as if changing every man’s closet was some kind of necessity.
