Florence is based in Glasgow, United Kingdom. She studied at The Glasgow School of Art and graduated in 2008. Her collections are produced in United Kingdom.

Fashion and visual artist Florence To has completed a Masters in Textiles as Fashion at The Glasgow School of Art after gaining her honours degree at the Scottish Borders School of Textiles. Her experiences include working with London based designers Preen, Boudicca and Alexander McQueen, practicing experimental pattern cutting and tailoring in men’s and women’s fashion.
Marking a new direction towards sustainability and attitude towards an anti-consumerist stance, To's unambiguous approach to tailoring evokes the principles of ergonomics presenting pieces which are simple, purposeful and innovative in ways of being resourceful.
Florence finds satisfaction in creating subtle sculptured statements within the constraints of classic tailoring found in men’s fashion. By enhancing the feminine in the masculine, she continues to work with reclaimed materials allowing further scope for design development.
Working also as a visual artist for experimental music and arts events has influenced her recent pieces shown in /v\, working closely with the texture of the reclaimed fabrics to react with the projected visuals.
Her ambigous designs has emerged towards a unisex label set to launch next year. The purpose of the label is to help promote ethical fashion, integrating consumer consciousness with lifestyle choices and concern for how we treat our environment. The designs will be focused on specific seam placements and strict cuts to fit the form of both genders.
Florence is currently working on live visual events and interactive installations. Projects can be viewed on
