IMPOWER, pronounces as 'empower', spells as 'I - M - Power'. This collection is about sending a message to those who are lack of confidence and need supports, to seek strength from their inner selves; and learn to be confident in their capabilities and back themselves. This collection combines the sculptural and floppy silhouettes; tailoring and draping techniques.
About the Designer
Yue Hui Faye is based in Melbourne, Australia. She studied at Otago Polytechnic School of Fashion, New Zealand and graduated in 2010.
My design always reflect my spirit. A combination of two opposites. I often combine masculine and feminine, sculptural and drape silhouette in my designs. As much as I love pushing the boundary, I am also aware of the original purpose of clothes is to be worn. That is why design to me is two-third of fantasy and one-third of reality.
