Inspired by the idea of Anthropological Science Fiction, this collection subtly melts religious and profane dress from the orient to the Occident. Sacred and poisonous seeds from the Amazon Rainforest in Peru are meaningful for shamans and were recycled and hand woven into a jacket and a top. Whereas Islamic sarong pants worn in Bali evolved into a wrapped tailored trouser. The round shapes of the seeds re-echo in hand painted silk dresses, paying tribute to the extinct craft of silk painting, as seen on Japanese kimonos. Heavy coats and the colour palette of the collection fuse Buddhist and Christian robes as well as liturgical colours. Christian priests Biretta hats meet hip hop baseball caps....
