Well, let’s see…Before I became a designer, I lived in Arkansas and I spent my time watching TV and dreaming, and then talking about TV with my friends, you know typically full of culture and painfully ignorant to anything about the real world…so I suppose I would still be doing that. And eating Britney’s favourite chips while watching Britney’s VMA performances on YouTube. Classic. Oh and I would probably be married.

Seth Pratt spent his life school years…
Behaving in very ritualistic ways with other ritualistic people, sat on buses praying for salvation from myself, I was however given a good environment to work as an artist. I went to a very small private school so my teachers had known me since I was in Kindergarten so they knew me well and knew what my skills were and allowed me to be creative and artistic at the expense of the other subjects. I spent half my senior year in the school's auditorium building a 30 foot tree and popping out my imitation of Couture Dior gowns for costumes for Cinderella’s Evil Stepmother and Stepsister.

Seth Pratt’s friends think…
I’m actually quite pleased with my friend selection at the moment, some of the most genuine interesting nice people I’ve ever met. Definitely there for me when I was down so you know great friends, friends who no matter where you are you always have the best time. Just plain good company. But, to quote my friend Andrea “I think you’re the cutest little man ever”, I suppose that’s what my friends think of me, I hope they think I’m as awesome as I think they are.

When Seth Pratt was a teenager, he dreamed of being…
Able to have complete creative freedom I guess. I always struggled with being limited because of social expectations, because of where I was raised and the culture there and the religion in which I was brought up. I credit all that as the reason I bounced out at the first opportunity to go to college somewhere else in the States. Of course my major of choice was not what I’m doing now…Musical Theatre.

He knew he would become a fashion designer when…
I suppose when I was knocking off designer dresses for Barbie when I was ten. I sewed each one of those by hand until I discovered my mother’s sewing machine. Also, when I lived in NY I made costumes for my classmates’ performances and realized I enjoyed that more than the performing aspect. For one of my last performances, a song called “Fiasco” from a musical called Coco. About Coco Chanel. And I made a Giant satin curtain with huge black velvet Chanel C’s on it and I sang and danced around in front of it before pulling it down and using it to make a make-shift dress and walking runway.
P.S. Katherine Hepburn played Coco on Broadway, she sings, it’s brilliant.

Everyone and everything I encounter in my life. I spend a lot of time Google imaging, I don’t know whether this is a hobby of mine or what but sometimes my desktop gets so intensely covered with drag and drop photos that you can’t even see my background image.
