I don’t see “fashion” as a cliché, but rather as a unique form of art: It’s a way to translate my feelings, vision and idea of beauty. It is a dream that I try to achieve, live and share. My tools are my pens, papers, needles and fabrics that give life to my fantasies. Not everything I design is always wearable, but that’s not a concern in my conceptual work. Niquie concept garments are not mass-produced but created to be one of a kind. The philosophy is about being unique, minimal, sleek and urban-chic with a twist of classic and modern outlines. Every piece has a matching personality and character. It is a canvas for you to express your message about your lifestyle and taste on your body. Niquie Concept was born in the summer of 2006 while I took a brief break from studying fashion design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Since then, Niquie has been a platform for artistic satisfaction.

Nothing inspires me like…
Modern art, architecture and cinema.

I hope…
People find inner peace soon and appreciate what they have left in this world.

Cultural influences…
Always fascinate me; they are my raison d'être today. I was born in one country, raised in another and have lived in several countries, constantly getting exposed to different cultures and lifestyles.

I got where I am...
There is nothing to brag about; I am still walking up my hill. But I must add that I never have doubts about my passion and love for art. I never stop working and always have faith in karma.

Fashion can sometimes...
Be cliché and tiring.

Money makes…
Me uneasy. I'm not a big fan of talking money and can’t stand people who measure success by the size of their bank accounts.

Did you know…
When I was a kid, I believed I had super powers; I used to climb trees with a cape on and I kept repeating to myself “just focus enough and you will fly”, and during every jump I thought I was about to fly, but wasn’t concentrated enough. I also had several attempts trying to bend a spoon and moving stuff around.

Love now because…
Everything you put out there is like a boomerang that will hit you sooner or later.

Creativity comes from…
The vision behind the creativity glass. It’s not what you see, but how you see it.

I believe…
Displacing people into different countries for a while would stop anger and self-pity.

I wouldn't pay for…
Flag-like logos on anything.

I'm an emotional retard...
Anything can make me cry; from seeing a puppy in a pet shop or a surprise victory of an underdog.

My first crush...
Was a child star from the 80s. Many years later I came across him in NYC and realised that he was gay. Oh well, at least I support gay marriage.

My mum...
Used to give me fabrics, trims and dolls to keep me occupied for hours.

I tried to live...
On the edge and live fearlessly, but in time I learned that “being an anarchist” doesn’t require screaming and showing the world that you are different. There are many ways to convey your message gracefully.
