NATURES OF CONFLICT

...I have never been interested in fashion as a product, but as something that defines identity.

Natures of Conflict (NOC) is Kathrin Lugbauer and Nora Berger. They are based in Vienna, Austria and have been working together since 2008. The two met at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, where they studied fashion under Raf Simons and Veronique Branquinho. In 2010, NOC was a finalist of the Festival International de Mode & de Photographie in Hyéres. The NOC way of life: conflict demands solutions, rethinking and renovation. The main inspiration for the latest collection is drawn from classic work clothing, jumpsuits, and boilersuits. Creating one piece of clothing that is suitable, comfortable, and practical for daily use. The silhoutte is very straight, drawing a line from the hips to the shoulder and like the colours, the mood of the collection is bright. It is about a positive way of looking into the future.

Nothing inspires us like....
Everything.

We hope...
That one day we can make a living out of fashion so we can continue doing what makes us happy.

We got where we are...
Through discipline and support.

Fashion can sometimes....
Satisfy us, when we see people wearing our clothes, that's just great!

Our goal is ...
To establish a company that gives us the freedom to evolve in whatever direction with no limits.

I scream....
When you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

Money makes...
Things easy and life difficult...

Did you know....
That to be 'right' is subjective and only ever half the battle.

If we could...
We would move to California tonight!

Our dreams are...
Coming true, slowly but surely.

We have never...
Been interested in fashion as a product, but as something which defines identity.

We think...
Without experience, you cannot develop in life and you cannot progress in your work.

We like making...
New collections! Getting a collection done and then starting with the next one!

Our future is...
To always be open-minded, curious, forward thinking and then suspicious.
